[dev] BFD

I see bfd code attached in the bgp, ospf and lib directories. But I don't see any bfd examples in the documentation. On a features page I can no longer find, it indicated that bfd was not being worked on. Would some one be able to provide enlightenment on if bfd is in a usable state at the present time?
