stable branches

Hi, I noticed that we have branches for stable/2.0 and stable/3.0. A couple of thoughts occur... - the "stable/3.0" branch seems more like a testing branch to me (i.e. on it's way to stable) - there doesn't seem to be a branch/tag that is "latest stable". This can be really useful for people a couple of steps away from the dev crew. cheers, JR
