hi,
Ty, I'd enabled the logs and will watch. I'd also posted a screenshot of htop on link provided by you. Ping flood is so high that it consumes all 24 cores of xeon 2650.

Neeraj,

Can you please also send logs with OSPF events enabled? Also would like to know if your sessions are flapping?

Thanks

There is one issue opened https://github.com/FRRouting/frr/issues/5236. I will get back on this.

Thanks

Subject: [FROG] high cpu usage because of 100s of ping to ospf peers by user frr

Hi,
i'd got a basic setup of ospf with 5 6 ospf neighbours. Everyon now and then there is very high cpu usage. Htop shows 100s of ping to ospf peers by user frr (just 5 to 8 peers). Other peers are mikrotik. Makes the system instable till kill all the pings.
Its a pppoe server with 4000+ pppoe interfaces. Kindly help in resolving the problem.
