Depending on what you want. And if you especially prioritize easy of use. I recommend looking at using either pfSense, OPNsense, VYOS 1.2.x. All three projects incorporate FRR nowadays. And is a complete router distribution with lots of extensibility (depending on the extensions available for the project in question). Heck. You can even get FRR on OpenWRT. -- If you want the full blown router solution, but still insist of installing FRR on e.g. bare bone Debian 9 machine, yourself. You will still need to manage different software packages individually for different purposes. FRR will only be comparable to a control-plane manager in this case Installing/exchanging routes with neighbours. -- Cheers Christoffer Hansen christoffer [at] netravnen [dot] de 0x18DD23C550293098DE07052A9DCF2CA008EBD2E8
