Hi, I'm searching for some documents what features are Linux exclusive and what can run also on FreeBSD. I know that basic services like zebra, ospfd2+3 or bgpd are supported, or MPLS for FreeBSD not. But what about PBRd? Or features like VPNV4? Thanks, Michael
Michael - https://github.com/FRRouting/frr/wiki/Features-and-Kernel-Support I've just started this page and have filled it in for Linux and have asked a couple of the more experienced *BSD developers to spend a few minutes filling it in. This page will probably be in flux for the next couple of days while we get it filled in. If you have something that you want to know about that is not there please let me know. donald On Thu, Aug 9, 2018 at 7:42 AM, Muenz, Michael <m.muenz@spam-fetish.org> wrote:

Thank you Donald! So "-" means no support or any chance a BSD dev wants to touch it? :) PBR can easily be done in FreeBSD via pf(4), but it would be very handy to have it in the routing process. Best regards, Michael
Yes '-' means no support. This table is not currently saying it is impossible, just that no one has taken the time to do the work yet. I'm going to try to evolve this table to what might be possible as well. The reality is though networking support is probably never going to be equivalent on *BSD compared to Linux. Having said that the FRR community would welcome any work done on *BSD's. Especially because I think it would help us solidify our abstractions, which clearly need some work imo. donald On Thu, Aug 9, 2018, 9:27 AM Muenz, Michael <m.muenz@spam-fetish.org> wrote:
