the easiest way is to use a package. Not sure if you want to recompile 
it yourself
or just install a pre-built package.

“Official” Packages are available on 
https://github.com/FRRouting/frr/releases

If you want to build your own package (and change some settings), then 
look
at README.deb_build.md in debianpkg folder (Version 5.0 and below) or
doc/developer/packaging-debian.rst in master (> 5.0)

These docs should provide some step by step instructions

Package install takes care of the installation and allows you a future 
easy
upgrade.
