Hi,
We are trying to set up BFD in our current FRR setup, but we seem to be stuck on BFD not logging anything useful, particularly when peer sessions are coming up or going down.
We have simply added some BFD peers (not added BFD under BGP); when we run *show bfd peers brief* we can see the BFD session gets established:
# show bfd peers brief
Session count: 2
SessionId LocalAddress PeerAddress Status
========= ============ =========== ======
3339805329 xxx.xxx.xxx.194 xxx.xxx.xxx.193 up
856217853 yyy.yyy.yyy.13 yyy.yyy.yyy.11 up
Logging is enabled:
# show logging
...
Logging configuration for bfdd:
Syslog logging: level debugging, facility daemon, ident bfdd
Stdout logging: level debugging
File logging: level debugging, filename /var/log/frr/bfdd.log
Protocol name: BFD
Record priority: disabled
Timestamp precision: 0
We've expected that this will be enough to test the setup and were expected to see log lines when the session goes up or down, but get nothing. Also I couldn't find anything in the documentation that would hint that we might be missing something...
Any help / pointers would be much appreciated!
Best regards,
Zsolt Gurmai
