Regarding libyang on the ubuntu18.04 deb
Hello, Could it be that the deb package in deb.frrouting.org is missing the libyang package? I tried to install it and got a message libyang is missing. Furthermore, doesn't frr work with newer versions of libyang? I installed libyang 1.0.121, and the frr package is still saying libyang is missing. Thanks in advance, Tal Fuchs
We do provide libyang: $ apt-cache showpkg libyang0.16 Package: libyang0.16 Versions: 0.16.105-1~ubuntu18.04.1 (/var/lib/apt/lists/deb.frrouting.org_frr_dists_bionic_frr-stable_binary-amd64_Packages) If I'm not mistaken, our current releases use libyang 0.16, and won't work with 1.x. libyang has frequent ABI changes, you need to use the version we explicitly depend on. Answering my own question: As I understand, issues were fixed in version 0.16.105-2 ( https://github.com/CESNET/libyang/releases/tag/debian%2Flibyang-0.16.105-2), but deb.frrouting.org still distributes 0.16.105-1( https://deb.frrouting.org/frr/pool/frr-stable/liby/libyang/).
