OSPF not enabled on PPP interface

Hi, I’m trying to run FRR v8.4 under ubuntu16, configure OSPF on PPP/L2TP interface. After configuring xl2tpd/pppd under ubuntu, I’ve set up a pair of ppp0 interface. On the machine acting as LAC, the IP address of PPP0 is 172.16.0.1 and its peer is 172.17.0.1. Ifconfig shows: ============ Ppp0 Link encap: point-to-point protocol Inet addr:172.16.0.1 P-t-P:172.17.0.1 Mask:255.255.255.255 UP POINTTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 ============ And I can ping 172.17.0.1 from 172.16.0.1. But when I configure OSPFD as below, no OSPF packet is sent through the ppp0 interface: ================================ hostname ospf password zebra enable password zebra ! interface ppp0 ip ospf network point-to-point ! interface lo ip ospf passive ip ospf passive 192.168.40.2 exit ! ! router ospf ospf router-id 192.168.40.2 network 192.168.40.2/32 area 0.0.0.0 network 172.16.0.1/32 area 0.0.0.0 exit ! ! ======================================= “Show ip ospf interface ppp0” says “OPSF not enable on this interface”. bgp multipath duplicate kernel routes

Hi everyone, I have a new FRR instalation on Rocky Linux and realized I have duplicate kernel routes for same-cost received routes from two distint peers. It seems to be a default multipath behavior (the router shares the traffic indeed) but I would like to disable it and I could not find out how. Can you guys give me any tips? VxLAN EVPN VTEP on Linux host with frr 8.3.1 no communication

Hi list, I'm trying to run a VxLAN EVPN VTEP (multicast BUM) on a Linux host running frr 8.3.1. The interface is up, but there is no traffic going in or coming out the VTEP. I tried to subscribe to a random multicast group using 'ip addr add 239.255.55.55/32 dev lo autojoin' to verify that multicast routing is working in general and it does create entries in 'ip mroute' output on the Linux host and the PIM routers connected to. So for me, multicast seems to be working. The other VTEPs are on Mellanox switches running Cumulus Linux 5.2.1. The other VTEPs can reach each other. Any idea whats wrong? The config files are mostly identical to the ones on the Cumulus switches.
