In general you should just be able to use the Quagga configs directly in FRR(There are a couple caveats of course ). I am not aware of any conversion/migration scripts though. Have you tried just loading the config and seeing what happens? Sonic ospf configuration

Hi Team, I am trying to bring up ospf session between sonic dut and IXIA. Ospf session got stuck at Init state. I am wondering if the below ospf config is fine or if anything is missing. router ospf ospf router-id 1.1.1.1 redistribute connected network 100.1.0.0/24 area 0 exit Regards, Harish

Slack invites?

Good day, The invite system seems to be limiting access only to a set of domains, and requesting access, seems to have a continuous loop only allowing certain domains and telling to contact the slack admin?

ospf? invalid link address

my frr log seems to be spewing the following lines zebra: extended error: invalid link address netlink-dp error: invalid argument, type=rtm_newneigh(28), seq=..., pid=... nl_batch_read_resp: netlink error message seq=... nlmsghdr [len=64 type(2) error flags=(0x0300) {dump,(root|replace|capped),(match|exclude|ack_tlvs)} seq=... pid=...] can anyone suggest some debug settings that i can turn on to help figure out what's going on. i'm not entirely sure when this started, i only noticed it because my logs dir filled up

BGP community regex rewrite

Hi Is it possible to use regex to rewrite the BGP communities? Let's say I have extended community 65000:[0-9]+ and route-map which matches it. Is it possible to get the regex value and supply it to set community 0:$1 etc.? Cheers Piotr Ginalski

Migration scripts for FRR from Quagga

I am needing to undertake migrating from all of my quagga instances to frr. I have read through the general documentation but before I started from scratch I thought I would see if there were some migration/conversion scripts available for existing quagga installations. IS-IS on unnumbered interfaces?

Good day, Busy FAFOing on a new setup to implement EVPN on ProxMox 8.1+, and as OpenFabric failed on the links with multiple nodes, (the network I have for redundancy at present) I tried IS-IS, which "worked", except I've ran into the unnumbered problem w.r.t. IPv4 (IPv6 is happily exchanging routes and update routing tables) when I have the direct connect ethernet interfaces without IPs. I see BGP/OSPF unnumbered stuff, but nothing yet about IS-IS for IPv4, or how to set up IP unnumbered stuff using FRR on Linux. How is this (usually) handled by others doing IS-IS ?

sending routes to one area

i'm new to frr and ospf, so this might sound like a simple question. i have a network of clients separated from the rest of a much larger network by four gateways pseudo code follows... when i config ospf on the gateways router ospf router id 1 network 10.0.1.0/24 area 0 network 10.0.2.0/24 area 1 and then on the clients router ospf router id 100 network 10.0.2.0/24 area 1 all the routing seems to work find and all the hosts on various networks can see each other. however, what i can't seem to figure out is how i can distribute a default route on linux i would do something like ip route add default nexthop 10.0.2.1 nexthop 10.0.2.2 nexthop 10.0.2.3 nexthop 10.0.2.4 and that works in this instance too, in that the packets will flow over the four gateway machines, however if one of the gateways goes down the route table doesn't get updated since i statically defined the default route what i want to do is advertise a default route to all the clients in area 1 only. i can't seem to figure out a combination of redistribute/route-maps/acl's and i haven't been able to locate a clear example on the internet. can anyone lend a hand?

OpenFabric - not allowing >2 nodes per link?

Good day, I've been testing OpenFabric for mesh type setup, but also have some redundant links that have more than 2 nodes on the same VLAN/ethernet bridge/switch. Those multiple nodes per link seems to not have a consistent route view, and as such I need to get some more "noob"/how-to documentation to understand if that is part of the design criteria, or a FRR 8.5 to 9.0 "feature"?
