All - I would like to thank Christian Franke for implementing ISIS 3-way handshake as per RFC 5303. This code is currently available on master for using. To disable this option please use `no isis three-way-handshake` under an interface you would not like to use it on. thanks! donald

Hi, I dont know if my last query made it to the mailer. We want to adopt FRR for our saatellite hub systems. We are looking for the following protocols for our hub systems. 1)4k +BGP sessions 2)Full VRF table size of 4k+ 3)mpls l3 vpn 4)mp-bgp (vpnv4) Can somebody confirm if these protocols are currently supported by FreeRangeRouting stack? Hi How do I configure FRR/bgpd to support RFC 4364 (BGP/MPLS) L3-VPNs? Specifically, I'd like to know how to configure following things: - One or more VRFs along with its import and export route targets as well as route-distinguisher. o Specifying one or more neighbors (eBGP sessions) in this VRF with IPv4(|6) address family. - One or more iBGP sessions with route-reflectors and other routers supporting VPNv4(|6) address family. thx aman

Adding BGP/MPLS VPNv4 route to Zebra

Hi I am trying to use FRR/Zebra BGP/MPLS L3-VPN. To make this work, I need to install route in Linux kernel via Zebra at the ingress LSR/PE. Let me explain through an example. Let's assume the ingress LSR receives following route from the egress LSR/PE: VPNv4 NLRI = { RD = 1:100, prefix = 10.0.0.0/24, label = 100 }, next-hop = 192.168.0.2 Let's also assume this ingress PE has following route to egress next-hop of 192.168.0.2: IPv4 prefix = 192.168.0.2/32 push label = 20 next-hop = 10.1.100.2 where 10.1.100.2 is the IP address of the adjacency core LSR. What's the best way of adding the route for the VPNv4 NLRI to Zebra? thx aman

Multicast Trace added to PIM

All - I'd like to thank Mladen for his contribution of a multicast trace program to FRR. This is a implementation of draft https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-traceroute-ipm-05 . The command can be run from inside of vtysh with `mtrace <source>`. Alternatively it can be invoked from the command line as `mtracebis <source>`. thanks! donald

Problems setting default-information originate

Hi, I'm evaluating FRR; I got the most recent RPM from [0], and installed it on an up-to-date CentOS 7 machine (that was running Quagga 1.2.x before where that command worked). I want to redistribute some stuff into OSPF: funnyhostname(config-router)# default-information originate metric 90 metric-type 1 % Unknown command. Even the documentation says the command is valid and existing [1]. Any hints? Reg support for VRF configuration in BGP

Hi all, I am new to the FRR community. I was able to download the software and install it in a VM to play with it. I am currently using the stable 3.0-3 build. My interest is in BGP VPN (RFC 4364). I could not figure out how to configure VPNs and exchange prefixes between two peers. However, there are display commands to display VPN routes. Is BGP VPN configuration supported in the stable 3.0-3 build? If yes, I would appreciate if someone could provide a pointer on configuring it from the vtysh shell. Thanks, Ashvin
